October 2006 Issue
Thanks to everyone who came out and made our Fall bash such a success. It was well attended and we saw many new faces. Thank you to Kate Branscombe for organizing such a great event. I am looking forward to our great new venue for the Holiday party which I hope all of our members will be able to attend.
As well this fall we have decided to support the Out of the Cold program and are looking for suggestions of other possible charities with which we could work on something for the spring. If you have any suggestions please feel free to pass them along as well as any other suggestions for things that you might like to see the IETA become involved in.
If anyone has yet to pay their dues, just as an early reminder to forward those to Janice Cooper prior to the Holiday party on December 7th.
Best regards

As many of you may have noticed if you've visited our IETA website in the last little while, it is pretty out of date. file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/All%20Users/Documents/WebStuff/IETA/http//:www.ietatoronto.org We are aware of this and are actively working with a new web designer to both update the website and make it much more current and relevant going forward. Please stay tuned in the coming months for the new and improved IETA website.

This year the IETA board has opted on behalf of our members to make both a financial contribution as well as to volunteer with 'Out of the Cold'. It is a program run through Dixon Hall and the City of Toronto to provide a hot meal as well as a nutritious breakfast the following morning for those less fortunate. We have chosen to donate $3000 in support of the program which will provide dinner/breakfast on 2 separate nights/mornings. Several members of the board will also be volunteering with the dinner on November 20th. If anyone else is interested please contact Amanda Van Veen avanveen@gluskinsheff.com

An excellent start to the season was had by all who attended the IETA fall bash (and a much better start than our materials and energy sectors have had). Brant House was an excellent location for the festivities. If you are going to end the night there, why not start there? Good food, good music and good people. Thanks to all who contributed and made the night possible. See everyone at the Christmas Party!!
