Notes from the President

Members and Associates of the IETA.

It has been an eventful winter.

Our bowling tournament was a smash hit with 24 participating teams! I think everyone appreciated the larger venue.

We also hosted a panel discussion comprised of John Giesea, President and CEO of STA, Sonny Lennon, President of CSTA, Spencer MacCosham, Chairperson CSTA, and Jesse Janzen, President Vancouver Security Traders Association. Our intent was to provide an information forum for everyone on what your boards are "doing for you". This was John Giesea's inaugural address to the IETA. We are the second largest affiliate of the STA behind NY.

On the weekend of April 12, we participated in the Habitat for Humanity build, which was a roaring success. Our membership has made record charitable donations totaling over $25,000. This is something we should feel very proud of. We have managed to support a wide variety of great initiatives, targeting all stages of life including children, teens and the elderly.

We look forward to the IETA Annual and General Meeting on Thursday, June 5 at the Design Exchange, and the IETA Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, June 6 at Eagles Nest Golf Club.
